Led Zeppelin have confirmed the date for their long awaited reunion gig at a press conference on the 12th September at the O2 Arena in London. Band members Robert Plant, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones met last week to discuss the finer details of the planned reunion taking place on the 26th November this year. The bill for evening includes Pete Townsend, Foreigner and Poalo Nutini with Bill Wyman And The Rythm Kings backing and playing themselves. The show is being held to raise money for the Ahmet Ertegun Education Fund, which pays for university scholarships in the UK, US and Turkey.
The fund was created in honour of Atlantic Records founder Ahmet Ertegun who died last year. His worked helped further the career of a host of acts, including Led Zeppelin. Visit their official website HERE

The final line-up has been confirmed for this year's V Festival which takes place at the dual sites of Hylands Park, Chelmsford, Essex and Weston Park, Staffordshire next weekend (Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th August).
The line-up of over 100 acts, include: The Killers, Foo Fighters, Snow Patrol, Kasabian, Pink, James, Kanye West, Jarvis Cocker, Paolo Nutini, The Fratellis, Editors, KT Tunstall, James Morrison, Basement Jaxx, The Kooks, Amy Winehouse, Manic Street Preachers, Dizzee Rascal, Lily Allen, Babyshambles, Mika, Primal Scream, Damien Rice, Corinne Bailey Rae, and more.
