Led Zeppelin have confirmed the date for their long awaited reunion gig at a press conference on the 12th September at the O2 Arena in London. Band members Robert Plant, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones met last week to discuss the finer details of the planned reunion at the O2 Arena on the 26th November this year. To compliment Led Zeppelin the line-up will include Pete Townsend, Foreigner and Poalo Nutini, with Bill Wyman And The Rythm Kings backing and performing. The whole event is to raise money for the Ahmet Ertegun Education Fund which pays for university scholarships in the UK, US and Turkey. The fund was created in honour of Atlantic Records founder Ahmet Ertegun who sadly died last year. Visit their official website HERE

Hard-Fi are confirmed for a performance at the Aintree Pavillion on 6th December during Liverpool Music Week. The event, held at various Merseyside locations, runs from 30th November to 9th December. Rumours are floating round the music world that My Chemical Romance front man Gerard Way, has tied the knot with girlfriend LinZ the Mindless Self Indulgance bassist last Monday (Sept 3rd) in Colarado. The yet to be confirmed marriage was conducted following the final leg of the Linken Park Project Revolution tour, in which My Chemical Romance opened. A member of staff from the tours promoters Live Nation (who just happened to be ordained), was said to have conducted the ceremony.
